Meet Our Team

Dr. Jennifer E. Morel, S.T.D.

The questions of our time, more than ever, are questions regarding what it means to be "created male and female." Answering these questions - questions that regard the very truth and beauty of our being - cannot be the prerogative or task of one culture alone. It is only when we look at these questions universally - drawing upon the "treasures hidden in the various forms of human culture" (Gaudium et Spes, 44) - that we begin to dive into the depths of the mystery of woman and man fully revealed in the Person of Jesus Christ.

I am privileged to begin this journey of questions with an Institute composed of both women and men, whose states of life and gifts are all unique, whose interests include philosophy, theology, art, medicine, the classics, literature, and food, and who are willing to joyously risk as they plunge into the depths!! "O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God!"

I have lived on the edge of New Orleans and in the heart of Mississippi. I grew up with lots of art, music, and family. I’m a fabrication machine programmer for an entertainment production company, but I’m also in a classic rock cover band and get a little side income from painting and illustrating. I love drawing, farmers' markets, karaoke, volleyball, other people's dogs, improv comedy, reading about psychological therapy, and exploring natural and manmade landscapes (especially residential architecture).

Kayla R. Moscona, MATS

Kayla R. Moscona is a deep thinker who desires to learn and teach the Catholic faith. After finishing college with a degree in Spanish, she served for a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and then taught elementary school. She spent time working for Catholic Charities in both Atlanta and Baton Rouge, and taught high school theology for 6 years. She earned a Masters’ degree in Theology Studies from Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans and now works with other research scholars to explore and expound the teachings of Christ and His Church on Christian anthropology. She draws not only on her scholarship and ministerial experience but also on her years of marriage and motherhood to better understand God’s plan for love. Kayla grew up in Lafayette, LA and now resides in New Orleans with her husband and four children.

I am still in pursuit of fully knowing myself, coming to know God has coalesced with really knowing who I am. Leroy is my hometown the fields and levees are my old stomping grounds and the word 'everything' is what I have in common with Saints. Art and dance are what make me 'feel' free and obedience is what makes me 'really' free. I have loved life-then lost it-to 'be' in adoration of the only one who could have made me... “All for Jesus”...and then some.

MRes María Guadalupe Rodríguez García

I am Catholic, Mexican, and a proud bearer of the name of our Lady and Queen, Maria Guadalupe. Nine years ago, I started my journey into the Theology of the Body, a message that has shaped my life and career, from finishing a BA in Communication to studying philosophical anthropology and other Personalist thinkers more deeply. I have been able to share this message in conferences and lectures. From listening to the struggles of young adults and teenagers regarding questions of gender and sexuality, I have been inspired to become a Social Anthropologist, getting my Masters degree in Aberdeen, Scotland. I love singing, dancing and since 2016 (my first year living abroad in Houston), I’ve been continuously looking for and finding new opportunities to travel around the world.
