Make a Difference

Our work is supported by the generosity of our supporters.

As a non-profit organization, the International Institute of Culture and Gender Studies is completely supported by donations and stipends for the educational and formational work that we do. We strive to expand our work, thereby expanding our reach, and thus to contribute to the redemption of culture and gender in the modern world.

Fast with Us

As with our prayer and the generous almsgiving of our benefactors, we are supported by the faithful fasting of both our research scholars and our patrons. Join us in fasting each Friday for our intentions and for God’s providence to work in and through our efforts.

Pray with Us

Our work depends on your support, and this includes your prayers most especially. Pray with us and ask for the intercession of our patron saints, Pope Saint John Paul II, St. Teresa Benedict of the Cross (Edith Stein), and Saints Louis & Zelie Martin.

Pope St. John Paul II

Through his many works, but especially in Male and Female He Created Them: A Theology of the Body, Saint John Paul II (1920-2005), our first Polish Pope, newly articulated and developed a profound theological anthropology of the human person. His work gives the Institute the solid foundation on which to build its work. We invite you to join us in asking him to guide our research and endeavors to transform the culture by helping all persons to understand and appreciate the gift of masculinity and femininity.

St. John Paul II, Pray for us.

St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein)

Edith Stein is one of the first Catholic philosophers to explore sex complementarity from a phenomenological perspective. Born in Breslau on October 12, 1891, to a Jewish family, she resolved to become Catholic after reading St. Teresa of Avila’s autobiography and was received into the Church at Easter 1931. Edith Stein entered the Carmelites a few years later, taking the name Sr. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. Arrested for her Jewish heritage, Edith Stein died in a gas chamber in Auschwitz on August 9, 1942.

Sts. Louis &

Zélie

Martin

Louis Martín (1823-1894) and Marie-Azélie Guérin Martin (1831-1877) were two French laypeople, a husband and wife whose marriage was the forum for their sanctity. The parents of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, Louis and Zélie followed and served God in quite ordinary circumstances. Louis, a watchmaker, and Zélie, a lace maker and business owner, were working parents balancing the demands of their nine children, work, and community. Together they embraced the opportunities for holiness that came through the many joys and challenges of daily family life, thus accompanying one another into eternal life.

Sts. Louis and Zélie Martin, Pray for us.
